When I first speak to a physician or dentist about buying and financing their new home in Utah, often times the conversation starts with “we want to know what kind of rates and fees you can offer” or “can you send me a good faith estimate?” which is certainly important, but in my opinion, not really what the client is thinking and is truly most concerned about.
These are the standard questions that we’re somewhat accustomed and comfortable with asking service providers that we have no history with. What physicians and dentists who are relocating their family and children across the country really mean is:
“Will you take care of me and my family?”
“When it comes down to closing, will I be surprised, will there be any hiccups and will my son or daughter really have some place to call home when we arrive?”
Those are the real and vulnerable questions, which are hard to ask someone you’ve just met and even harder to believe what they might say in response. We get that. So we’ve gone above and beyond to create and map out a relocation program, which literally holds your hand every step of the way.
We’ve done this because I’ve personally been burned by a loan officer, surprised the day before closing when I was called into her office and told that my loan was approved BUT… if I wanted to close, I’d need to come up with 10% more in the way of down payment and my rate was going to be substantially higher than initially proposed. What a nightmare that was, I’ll never forget how stupid I felt having been had the night before my closing.
The memory of that experience has helped shape our business model and the way we coach our staff to deliver EXACTLY what we have promised. And not only what you were promised as far as rates, fees and the closing date which we agreed to meet, but also the way we promise to treat you, with importance, respect and understanding for the uniquely challenging and stressful situation you are going through with relocating your family across the country.
Relocating should be fun! It should be exciting, like turning a new page in the book of life and we plan on making it feel as such.
Our process is easily done online, fax or mail, so you never have to come to our offices. We’ve become very good at getting 80% to 90% of your documentation and information up front even before you write the offer on your new home, so that once you have started to pack up your belongings, we won’t be calling you for two year old tax records, which are now buried in the back of a moving truck somewhere. Once you find your home we communicate every week with email updates to all clients and realtors, just to ensure everyone knows we are on track for an on time closing. We literally coordinate where you will be, when you want to close and make sure your title company and realtors are all in sync.
We do not believe there is a better and more stress-free relocation process anywhere in the country and it would be our pleasure to consult with you and discuss your family’s relocation and new home loan.
But don’t take our word for it… Here’s what a few of our clients have had to say about their experience with us.
